Spec Truck Tire Glue Rule Change | ETRL

The Spec Truck class follows the TCS (Tamiya Championship Series) rules for racing. That being said, the rule for tire glue is as follows:

• It is not permitted to apply super glue on the horizontal surface of the tire to alter traction characteristics.

The problem arises when the tires start to wear and the the horizontal surface is hard to discern. To remedy this, both the TCS and the ETRL have decided to move the allowable glue line to the first tread on the tire. You can use the entire first tread to tune the trucks performance, but the glue cannot drop down into the groove or make its way to the second tread. If it does, it will result in a DQ for that round.

So, both the Spec and Super Truck classes now use the same glue points.
